What To Expect in a Kinesiology Balance?
How many sessions will you need?
As Kinesiology works with a layering approach, you may have several layers of the same problem. It's hard to know how many sessions you will need to help you with your area of concern. Committing to 4-6 sessions, you should start seeing some changes to confirm we are on the right path. If your issue has been around for a long time, it can take more sessions to really get to the root of the problem.
Changes experienced through Kinesiology generally last, but if another trauma arises - either physical or emotional - then the issue may manifest again (sometimes in different ways). When this happens the issue usually clears more easily.
A Kinesiology session uses your body’s natural healing energy to create new pathways. In doing so it gives you a chance to make new choices easily and with less stress.
After a session
There is no ‘one way fits all’ for Kinesiology. Each person and each session looks different. However, here are some things that people can experience after a kinesiology session that can be part of the processing, detoxing and healing process.
Heightened emotions
Throughout the balance feelings and emotions can sometimes surface and then subside as the energy shifts. I will support you by holding space and presence for the emotion, allowing you to hear it’s message safely as the emotion moves through. It is good to openly communicate what you are experiencing to maintain feedback as the balance proceeds. This will help you stay engaged and present during the balance. A Kinesiology session helps to release emotions and emotional patterns that can bring a sudden change to thinking patterns and result in an uncomfortable feeling for a few days, while you adjust to a new way of thinking and feeling. If you experience deep emotional shifts, I may recommend weekly or fortnightly sessions for a set period of time.
Headaches
This can be the result of releasing negative thought patterns and it may take the mind some time to readjust. Headaches are a common symptom for detoxing and healing.
Feeling Tired
After a session, there may be an adjustment period where the mind, body and energy systems heal. This can sometimes result in feelings of tiredness as your whole self enters a more balanced state.
Dreams
Balances can bring up quite a few emotions and memories and some of these may be processed during the days that follow a session. Dreams are a way of the mind making sense of what has happened in our daily lives and this includes processing what came up in your session.
Feeling ‘Light’
Releasing old emotions can be a huge relief to the body. Taking the ‘weight of your shoulders’ can suddenly make you feel lighter and more buoyant. You may feel that they are no longer tied down to the emotional baggage that you have held onto, resulting in a wonderfully liberating ‘lightness’.
Increased Energy
Balancing the body, mind and energetic system can ‘free up’ stagnant and old energy leaving you with more energy. Being in a constant state of imbalance can be extremely demanding on the body, it’s only natural that the body wants to be in balance.
Improved Focus & Concentration
Clearing out old emotions by releasing tension in the muscles, especially the neck and shoulder muscles, is like giving your brain a spring clean. You have cleaned out all the cob webs and can now think clearer without the ‘noise’ of the past.
Feeling ‘In’ Your Body
Some people have been stressed or anxious for so long that their energetic body has disconnected from their physical body. A Kinesiology balance helps to realign the energetic body with the physical body which can create a sense of heaviness - feeling ‘back’ in your body.
I look forward to connecting with you & supporting you through Kinesiology.
